On April 19, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived on a two-day working visit in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Today,  in Teheran, Minnikhanov will take part in a business forum, which will consider priority ways of development of Tatarstan-Iran cooperation in the trade and economic sphere.  

On April 18, in the afternoon, Minister of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief of the Russian Federation Vladimir Puchkov, accompanied by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and other officials, visited the city of Innopolis (Tatarstan), where he took part in the opening of the fire-fighting unit No. 8.

On April 18, during his working trip to Tatarstan, Russian Minister of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief Vladimir Puchkov visited the island town of Sviyazhsk. He was accompanied by Prime Minister of the republic Alexey Pesoshin.

On April 18, during his working visit to Kazan, Head of Russian Ministry of Emergencies Vladimir Puchkov visited production facilities of Kazanorgsintez Chemical Company. In particular, Puchkov looked around workshops and got acquainted with some technological processes of the enterprise.

On April 18, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov as well as Aide to Tatarstan President Albert Nafigin, Aide to Tatarstan President Natalia Fishman, Minister of Transport Lenar Safin, and other officials took part in a presidium session of the Russian Presidential Council on strategic development and priority projects held by Chairman of Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev.

On April 18, giving an interview to journalists at the Kazan Arena Stadium, Minister of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief of the Russian Federation Vladimir Puchkov said that all Russian regions, which will host matches of the FIFA Confederations Cup in 2017, have done a lot of preparatory work, and almost all the facilities, where matches will be held, and the entire infrastructure are prepared.

On April 18, during his visit to Kazan, Russian Minister of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief Vladimir Puchkov held a field session of the Governmental commission on emergency prevention and control and fire safety at “Kazan-Arena” stadium.

On April 18, speaking at a briefing at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Minister of Health said that 2017 was declared the Year of Prevention of Injuries and Disorders of Locomotor Apparatus in Tatarstan. The corresponding decree was signed by Tatarstan President in March this year. 

On April 18, during his working visit to Kazan, Minister of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief of the Russian Federation Vladimir Puchkov visited the Kazan Arena Stadium, where he examined the readiness of the equipment and arms of the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Measures in Tatarstan and specialized equipment of the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan at the site in front of the stadium. 

On April 18, Minister of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief of the Russian Federation Vladimir Puchkov, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan, was met by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of Civil Defence and Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan – Head of the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in Tatarstan and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
