On October 9, at the Government House of the republic, at his meeting with new Turkey’s Consul General in Kazan Ismet Erikan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated Erikan on the appointment to a new responsible position. He noted that Tatarstan has always supported the initiatives to develop cooperation with Turkish partners aimed at strengthening relations between Russia and Turkey.

On October 8, at the Korston Entertainment Complex, speaking at a solemn ceremony dedicated to Agriculture and Processing Industry Workers' Day, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that agriculture is a key sector of the economy of Tatarstan, forming over 10 per cent of gross regional product.
