On January 27, during his working visit to Moscow, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, at which they discussed a number of issues of industrial development of the region. Manturov emphasized that Tatarstan is one of the most important industrial centers of the country.

On January 19, Head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare Anna Popova, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in a summing up meeting of the Tatarstan Department of the Federal Service, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
