On January 13, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, rector of Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration Vladimir Mau, representatives of regions – members of the Association of innovative regions of Russia took part in the presentation of rating “Innovative business in Russian regions” during Gaidar Forum-2016 in Moscow.  

On January 13, during his working trip to Moscow, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in events of the Gaidar forum 2016 “Russia and the world: looking to the future”.

On January 12, at their meeting at Tatarstan Government House, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and delegation of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China headed by Deputy Chairman of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Kung Sinlung discussed implementation of a big agro-industrial investment project in the republic.

On January 12, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of State Council Farid Mukhametshin, Chief Federal Inspector of the republic Renat Timerzyanov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, heads of regional authorities, judicial and law enforcement bodies, and veterans of prosecution authorities attended festive events dedicated to Prosecutor’s Office Workers’ Day in Kazan.

On January 11, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his condolences to relatives of those who were killed in a fire in Leninogorsk district of the republic, and strictly assessed the short-sighted actions of local authorities and social services.

I congratulate you on Christmas Day. This day embodies best human hopes and intentions for moral perfection, peace and prosperity. Christians acquire the faith in eternal life, become stronger in knowing the truth and love for one's neighbours. Christmas is the example of sanctity of traditional family values that embody eternal ideals of maternity, marriage, mercy and forgiveness.

On January 5, at a briefing at Tatarstan Government House, Deputy Minister of Education and Science Ildar Mukhametov said that more than 13,000 children will spend winter holidays at school camps. From January 13, special trainings will be organized to prepare for regional rounds of All-Russia Olympiads.

On January 5, at a briefing at Tatarstan Government House, Minister of culture of the republic Airat Sibagatullin informed that 45,000 people visited Tatarstan museums on January 1-4, 2016. He also told that New Year children’s shows were held at regional theatres and entertainment institutions on January 1-10.

On January 4, Kazan said farewell to the great Tatarstan benefactor Asgat Galimzyanov, who died on January 3 at the age of 80. A civil funeral service was held in the hall of the Cultural Center of the Ministry of the Interior of the republic.
