On September 1, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of Kazan Suvorov Military School Valery Mironchenko and other officials took part in the ceremony of unveiling the monument to students of Suvorov School and a celebratory assembly dedicated to the Knowledge Day.

The traditional XII Festival of Muslim Cinema in Kazan will be held on September 5-11. The contest programme will include 60 films from 33 countries. The festival is founded by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan Mayor’s Office, and the Council of Muftis of Russia. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov renders his invaluable support.

On August 30, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Russian Minister of Communications and Mass Media Nikolay Nikiforov, Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, and other officials attended a festive horse race that was held on the occasion of the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan. The sports equestrian event has become international this year.
