Education by the program of RT government grants “Algarysh” is very popular among young people and it will be continued. This was announced by RT President Rustam Minnikhanov at III republican forum of “Algarysh” graduates that was held in RT Academy of sciences. By words of Rustam Minnikhanov, in the process of “Algarysh” program realization all necessary changes are being made. The experience obtained during 5 years is very valuable for Tatarstan. The main purpose of the program is increasing quality of youth education, training of skilled staff for republican economy, Rustam Minnikhanov said. He added that republic would be still engaged in education and internship of municipal and republican employees within the limits of other programs as well. “Algarysh” is fully dedicated to education of students, post-graduate students, young scientists and teachers.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Head of Moscow branch of German service of academic exchanges (DAAD) Gregor Berghorn discussed issues of further cooperation in educational sector. The meeting was held in RT Academy of sciences within the limits of III republican forum of “Algarysh” graduates. Gregor Berghorn positively characterized cooperation between DAAD, Tatarstan and RT Ministry of education and science. He informed that students from Tatarstan successfully study in German universities and demonstrate brilliant knowledge. Yearly DAAD concludes the agreement with republic on educating 20 students in German universities by 2-year programs “Masters” on conditions of joint financing. 60 people have already passed education in Germany.Gregor Berghorn suggested considering the opportunity of cooperation in such areas as organization of professional training in Germany (for three months) for young scientists and teachers of republic. Besides, he intends to attract representatives of Tatarstan large business (industrial companies, enterprises) for training specialists in Germany. Thus, business community would invest funds into training specialists by in-demand professions.

Additional measures on lowering abuse of alcohol, beer and tobacco and forming healthy way of life in Tatarstan have been discussed today at session of RT Cabinet Presidium with participation of RT President Rustam Minnikhanov. The session was conducted by Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov. RT Minister of health care Airat Farrakhov made the key report. By his words, upon the whole alcohol consumption in republic has reduced for the last few years, but rates of beer consumption are even more than in Volga Federal District and Russia. Alcohol consumption increased 1,8 times since 1990 to 2008. Tobacco smoking is also a very urgent problem. One third of population in the world smokes. That makes 1 bln. people. 200 millions of them are women. About 70 % of men and 17 % of women smoke in Russia. Smoking of children and youth is becoming a serious national problem as well. The average age when children get used to smoking is 10 for boys and 12 for girls. Every ten pupil in Russia suffer from tobacco abuse and health problems. For the last three years a number of drug abuse diseases has decreased.

Republic of Tatrstan is interested in the development of relations with the Slovak Republic. There are all conditions for this process taking into account the high level of Russian-Slovakian relations, languages and the current commercial and economic contacts. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov stated it at the meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic Joseph Migash on Wednesday.Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, RT First Vice-Premier Ravil Muratov, Director of the International Relations Department – RT Presidents Aide for International Issues Timur Akulov, RT President’s Aide Iskander Muflikhanov, RT Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce Bulat Fakhrutdinov took part in the meeting.

Aznakai municipal region was and remains one of the leading regions agricultural regions of Tatarstan . Rustam Minnikhanov stated this during his working trip across Aznakaevsk region.Head of the republic and persons accompanying him got acquainted with a course of construction of 144 apartment house which is being erected in Aznakaevo. The house is being built within the frameworks of social mortgage by RT State housing fund under RT President.Then Rustam Minnikhanov saw steam generating station JSC «Vodokanalservis» in Aznakaevo and assessed the process of preparing to winter season.The meeting on issues of social-economic development of the region was held in hall of sessions of Aznakaevo region’s administration.

“Education is an issue number one for our republic,” Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov declared at the event marking the International Teachers’ Day.The event that brought together the best teachers from all over the republic was held at the Pyramid Convention Complex.On behalf of the republic’s leadership Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated all those present as well as all the educators of the republic on Teachers’ Day.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tunisia to Russia Khemaies Jinaoui met at the Kazan Kremlin to discuss issues pertaining to economic and humanitarian cooperation between Tatarstan and Tunisia on October 5.The Tunisian Ambassador told journalists after the meeting Tunisia intended to actively develop cooperation with Tatarstan. “We are ready to cooperate in all areas,” he said. Tourism, trade and investments are the most appealing areas, he added. Tunisia is a tourist country, visited annually by about 7.5 million tourists, including 180 thousand from Russia. “We would like to increase the tourist flow from Tatarstan,” the guest remarked.

RT President Rustam Minnikhanov met with members of Netherland delegation in House of RT government.Delegation of Netherlands headed by Deputy director general on external economic relations of Ministry of economy of Netherlands Marten van den Berg consists of 30 businessmen. Officials of companies who arrived in Tatarstan work in such spheres as energy, IT sector, agriculture, pharmaceutics, biotechnologies, mechanical engineering. Rustam Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan and Netherlands are tied by close relationships. In particular, mutually beneficial cooperation in agricultural sector has been established. Netherlands is a traditional foreign trade partner of Tatarstan and during last years holds leading positions by volume of trade turnover. Speaking about cultural relations, the troupe of Tatar academic opera and ballet theatre named after M.Jalil often arrives with performance to Netherlands.

Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov announced during his visit to a leading IT enterprise in republic that “ICL-KPO VS” should show claim leading positions at Russian and global markets. The spheres of activity have been demonstrated to Head of Tatarstan government. Ildar Khalikov saw the assembling production of company. Here in the workshop computers and laptops are assembled and tested. A laptop produced by “ICL-KPO VS” was handed to Prime Minister. In his turn, he asked Minister of education and science Albert Gilmutdinov to present it to a boy from Drozhzhanoe settlement.
