Festive events dedicated to 60 years of Institute of mechanization and technical service FGOU VPO “Kazan agrarian university” has been held today in Kazan. RT State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, former first secretary of Tatar regional committee of Communist Party of the Soviet Union, secretary of Central Committee of KPSU Gumer Usmanov came to assembly hall of Kazan state agrarian university to congratulate workers of the institute on anniversary.

November, 18. President of Tatarstan R.N.Minnikhanov has left for Silicon Valley (USA) with working visit. Silicon Valley is a region in California State famous for a large number of high-tech companies which are engaged into elaborations and production of computers and their components, particularly microprocessors, software, mobile communication devices, biotechnologies. Original English of the valley originates from using silicon as a semi-conductor in production of microprocessors. This was the industry which gave rise to the history of valley as technological centre.

Today RT President Rustam Minnikhanov held meeting with delegation of “FT Consortium” (Finland) headed by chairman Jaakko Ihamuotila in RT Cabinet. Tatarstan President noted in welcoming speech that the week before official delegation from Finland headed by the President Tarja Halonen had visited Kazan. This visit will stimulate development of cooperation between Russia and Finland. Tatarstan, in his turn, will intensively be involved into the process of expanding contacts with Finland.

Issues of organizing cooperation between «Diamond Aircraft» (Austria) and JSC “KAPO named after S.P.Gorbunov” have been discussed at the meeting between RT president Rustam Minnikhanov and CEOs of «Diamond Aircraft» headed by President and owner of the company Christian Dris. The meeting took place in House of RT government. Rustam Minnikhanov noted in his welcoming speech that an aircraft «Diamond Aircraft» purchased for Tatarstan had acquired good reputation. Head of Republic thinks that cooperation between «Diamond Aircraft» (Austria) and JSC “KAPO named after S.P.Gorbunov” should undergo development.

RT President Rustam Minnikhanov handed keys to new flats to veterans of Great Patriotic War in Pestretsy settlement. At solemn ceremony Head of Pestrechinsky region Shaikhula Nasybullin noted that by and large 117 veterans would receive keys to new flats this year. Head of the region thanked republican leadership on behalf of all dwellers of Pestretsy settlement for supporting social programs.Upon the whole, 13,3 thousand veterans are registered in republic by the program of improving living conditions. This issue is being controlled by the Russian President and Prime Minister. There is no doubt in realization of this program.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has been included in the membership of the Presidential Council for physical culture and sports, high achievements sports, preparation and organization of the 22nd Olympics-2014 and the 11th Paralympics-2014 in Sochi, the 27th World Summer Universiade-2013 in Kazan. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed a related decree.

Tatarstan leadership is ready to support our youth projects in future. This was said today by RT President Rustam Minnikhanov while visiting final exhibition of projects-winners of Republican youth forum.The republican youth forum is being held in Kazan on November, 15-17. According to the idea of organizers, the forum should become an area where every young person or a team could demonstrate their talent, realize creative potential and receive support in implementation of their projects and ideas.

Ceremony of awarding winners of republican contest for receiving grants of RT Cabinet for non-commercial organizations which take part in realization of socially important projects, has been held today in House of RT government with participation of RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov. Ildar Khalikov informed that such contests are aimed at attraction of off-budget resources into social sphere, involving businessmen and public organizations into state and municipal projects which are currently the basis of Tatarstan development.

The meeting of the Governmental commission for the development of small and medium business was held in Moscow on November 16. Out of three earlier announced issues the participants of the meeting discussed only the first one: “On the draft federal law on improving the simplified taxation system on a patent basis”.Russian Economic Development Minister Elvira Nabiullina, Russian Agriculture Minister Elena Skrynnik, Secretary of State – Russian Deputy Finance Minister Sergei Shatalov, President of the Chamber of Industry and Trade Evgeny Primakov, Chairman of the Board of Sberbank German Gref and other officials attended the meeting.The meeting was conducted by Chairman of the Russian Government Igor Shuvalov. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov also took park in the work of the meeting.

One of Europe’s largest investment banks Credit Suisse could offer a scope of financial services to companies in Tatarstan. The statement was made at a meeting between bank officials and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.The meeting took place at the Kazan Kremlin and was attended by the Credit Suisse Chief Executive in Europe, Middle East and Africa Fawzi Kyriakos-Saad, Credit Suisse Managing Director in Kazakhstan Antanas Petrosius and Credit Suisse Russia Vice-President Max Kushner. Tatarstan was at the meeting represented by the Energy Minister Ilshat Fardiev, Economy Minister Midkhat Shagiakhmetov, TAIF General Director Albert Shigabutdinov, Ak Bars Bank Board Chairman Robert Musin and Svyazinvestneftekhim General Director Valery Sorokin.Fawzi Kyriakos-Saad said Credit Suisse specialised in investment banking, private banking and asset management. The company’s personnel are over 49 thousand.
