On August 16, at the Kazan Kremlin, Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President's Administrative Office Asgat Safarov was awarded the medal of Merit for the Chechen Republic. The medal was handed in by Minister of Interior of the Chechen Republic Ruslan Alkhanov on behalf of Head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov.

On August 15, at a plenary session of regional August meeting of educational and scientific workers “Tatarstan: education of innovative region” that was held in Bogatye Saby village (Sabinsky region, Tatarstan), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the republic is actively adopting best Russian and international practices in modernization of education. However, it is not enough, we should work proactively, he added.
