President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has arrived in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area. At the airport he was met by Governor of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area – Yugra Natalia Komarova, Deputy Governor of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area Aleksei Putin, Aide to President of the Republic of Tatarstan Radik Gimatdinov, trade-economic representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area– Yugra Bulat Badretdinov.

On September 5, 2012 Tatarstan’s State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev and his party arrived in the Republic of Altai. Mintimer Shaimiev was met by Head and Chairman of the Altai Government Aleksandr Berdnikov, Chairman of State Assembly - El Kurutai of the Republic of Altai Ivan Belekov, and other officials at the airport of Gorno-Altaisk, the only city in republic.

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited the 19th international exhibition “Oil, gas. Petrochemistry” being held at the “Kazanskaya yarmarka” and took part in forums. Head of republic saw expositions of domestic and foreign companies which presented innovations for oil and gas industry. Chiefs of the largest Tatarstan companies – Tatneft and TAIF group of companies told about plans on developing the enterprises.

Tatarstan’s State Counselor, Chairman of the Board of trustees of the Republican Foundation for the Revival of Historical and Cultural Monuments Mintimer Shaimiev took part in opening of II International congress of medieval archeology of Eurasian steppes that is being held within the framework of III Bolgar forum “Idel-Altai” - Idel-Altai: origins of Eurasian civilization.

Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Republic of Tatarstan and an IT subsidiary of Carnegie Mellon University – iCarnegie in Pittsburgh (USA, Pennsylvania). President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Director of iCarnegie Gil Taran put their signatures on the document.

“All resources of Tatarstan and Kazan federal university will be aimed at establishment of a modern IT university in the context of the project of innovation satellite city “Innopolis” in Tatarstan,” the Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov stated at the meeting with officials of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh (USA). Director of iCarnegie Gil Taran, Director of Philanthropies at iCarnegie Michael Shteiner took part in the meeting.
