The State Legal Administration of the Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan was established in order to provide legal support for the Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The major tasks of the Administration are as follows:

• to provide legal support of the activities of the Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan;
• to provide support to the advisory and consultative bodies under the Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan in legal affairs;
• to provide support to the Pardon Commission in the Republic of Tatarstan.
