Rais of Tatarstan takes part in work of a collegium of the Russian Defense Ministry in Moscow

On 17 December during his working trip to Moscow, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in an expanded meeting of the Russian Defense Ministry.

Welcoming participants of the meeting, President of Russia Vladimir Putin, who is Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, noted that the outgoing year has become an important stage in solving the tasks of the special military operation and the Russian Army has won and firmly holds the strategic initiative along the entire front line. “We are proud of the exploits of our soldiers and officers fighting on the front lines, and of all those who defend Russia and the safety of our citizens,” the Head of the state said and declared a minute of silence in memory of those who died for the Motherland.

On 17 December, speaking at a meeting of the organizational committee for preparations and holding the International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic world: KazanForum” in 2026 held in Moscow, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said: “We see growing interest from our domestic and foreign colleagues in the KazanForum platform, which is designed to serve as a venue for meetings, dialogue, and cooperation between our country and the Islamic world.”
