On 10 June, speaking at his meeting with the Russian Minister for Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov in the Kazan Kremlin, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the Russian Minister for his attention to foreign bonds of regions, assistance in the development of international cooperation of Tatarstan and holding international events in the republic, including today's meeting of the CSTO foreign ministers.
In his turn Sergey Lavrov thanked Rustam Minnikhanov and his team, the (Kazan) Mayor’s Office headed by Ilsur Metshin for assistance in the work and hospitality provided to the meeting participants.
Later the same day Rustam Minnikhanov and the Russian Foreign Minister had a walk round the Kazan Kremlin.

On 10 June the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the Russian Minister for Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov and the Ministers for Foreign Affairs of the States-Participants of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) honored the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War (WW II) and laid flowers to the Eternal Flame at the colonnade of the Glory Memorial in the Victory Park in Kazan.
