Tatarstan delegation visits the Khorgos International Centre of Boundary Cooperation and the Khorgos - Eastern Gateway Special Economic Zone

On August 25, during a working visit to Almaty region of Kazakhstan, Tatarstan delegation led by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Khorgos International Centre of Boundary Cooperation in Panfilov district of Almaty region.

Members of the delegation visited the central square "Samyruk", where they got acquainted with the products of the shopping center. Minnikhanov was shown a presentation of the project and the master plan of the Khorgos Centre.

Minnikhanov also visited the Khorgos - Eastern Gateway Special Economic Zone and got acquainted with its facilities.  The zone features a dry port, the main advantages of which are fast handling of trains, multimodality, safety and security of cargo in accordance with DP World standards, the minimum probability of cargo loss.

Following the visit, Minnikhanov has given an errand to work out proposals for cooperation with the Khorgos - Eastern Gateway Special Economic Zone and options for promoting Tatarstan products at the Khorgos Centre.
