Rustam Minnikhanov opens a new building of the investigative department and meets local farmers in Leninogorsky region

On August 10, during his working visit to Leninogorsky municipal region of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the opening of a new administrative building of the Leninogorsk Interdistrict Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Tatarstan.

Speaking at the event, Minnikhanov stressed that the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Tatarstan is one of the best committees in the country. High performance is the result of effective work of its specialists, he added. "The most important thing is people who should work in good conditions," he said. "This all is done for the purpose of providing order, stability and the rule of law in the country."

Then, Tatarstan President handed in state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan and Letters of Commendation of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan to a number of employees of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Tatarstan for exemplary performance of their duties, as well as for contribution to strengthening the rule of law and order.

Later on the same day, Minnikhanov met heads of agricultural enterprises, investors and heads of rural settlements. Head of the region Ryagat Khusainov reported on the current harvesting campaign. He said that the total area under crops makes 102,300 hectares, 73,700 hectares of which are arable land. The sown area exceeds 63,000 hectares, including more than 36,000 hectares of grain crops, 3,500 hectares of industrial crops, 21,000 hectares of fodder. As for today, 2,700 hectares of crops have been harvested, which is 7.7 per cent. In total, the region's farm workers have threshed 9,700 tonnes of bread with a yield of 35.3 centners per hectare.

Khusainov also reported on the progress of various regional programmes. In particular, answering Tatarstan President's question about the readiness of schools for the new academic year, he assured Minnikhanov that all the planned repair works in educational institutions have been completed.
