Prime Minister of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin: Sabantuy is our national heritage, a holiday with a thousand-year history

On July 1, Tatarstan Prime Minister Alexey Pesoshin paid a working visit to Nizhnemasky municipal region of the republic to take part in the celebration of Tatar national holiday Sabantuy.

Speaking at the event, Pesoshin noted that Sabantuy has become a place of the interaction between peoples and enrichment of cultures. "Sabantuy is our national heritage, a holiday with has a thousand-year history. Today Sabantuy is being celebrated in Nizhnekamsk, one of the economically significant regions of Tatarstan. Your region is famous for its talented, hard-working people, which means that all the tasks assigned to the regional leadership will be fulfilled. Happy holiday to you!”, Pesoshin said.

He also read out a welcome address of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov to guests and participants of Sabantuy.
