Mintimer Shaimiev meets Anatoly Chubais

On June 26, in the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev had a meeting with Chairman of the Executive Board of RUSNANO Corporation Anatoly Chubais, who together with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the opening of a plant for the production of nanocomposite coatings developed by Advenira Enterprises, Inc. in Himgrad Technopolis in Kazan.

The meeting began with visiting an exposition dedicated to seven-year activities of the Revival Regional Foundation. Chubais is well acquainted with the project of federal importance for the revival of the ancient city of Bolgar and the island town of Sviyazhsk, as the RUSNANO Corporation is one of the charitable organizations that supported this project. With the financial support of RUSNANO, the iconostasis of the Trinity Church in Sviyazhsk was restored. Chubais visited Bolgar and Sviyazhsk in 2012.

During the meeting, Shaimiev told Chubais that works in Bolgar and Sviyazhsk are coming to an end. On the instructions of Minnikhanov, the Revival Regional Foundation is actively assisting in the construction of the Bolgar Islamic Academy and the reconstruction of the Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, he said.

Chubais shared his impressions of today's event - the launch of a new production facility in Himgrad Technopolis and told Shaimiev about new plans for cooperation between Tatarstan and RUSNANO Corporation, in particular, about the project on the development of wind energy.
