Rustam Minnikhanov: Priority projects “Safe and quality roads” and “Formation of comfortable urban environment” are topical for Tatarstan

On June 23, at a meeting on implementation of Priority projects “Safe and quality roads” and “Formation of comfortable urban environment”, Deputy Chairman of Russian Government Arkady Dvorkovich said that much has been done in this respect in Kazan as well as in other cities of the country. The meeting was held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov at the Government House of the republic.

According to Dvorkovich, additional resources for implementation of the projects enable doing a new step forward. “There projects are of high priority. Federal and regional funds have been allocated. The main purpose is to increase road safety and formation of comfortable urban environment. At the same time the responsibility has increased,” he said.

Tatarstan President noted that both projects are topical for the region and are being successfully implemented and are positively taken by the population.

Minnikhanov continued that in accordance with the agreement signed between Tatarstan and Rosavtodrom in 2017, measures on bringing street and road network into a good state are being taken, which results in the decrease of the number of road accidents in Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny.
