Rustam Minnikhanov meets Chairman of Portuguese Parliament Eduardo Ferro Rodrigues

On June 18, at his meeting with Chairman of Portuguese Parliament Eduardo Ferro Rodrigues at the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Eduardo Ferro Rodrigues for his interest in Tatarstan and the current visit.

The Portuguese delegation arrived in the republic on June 17.

Portuguese colleagues have already met members of Tatarstan Parliament, visited the historical and architectural museum “The Island town of Sviyazhsk”, Qol Sharif Mosque, and Annunciation Cathedral.

At the meeting the parties discussed development of cooperation in different economic sectors and business.

Rustam Minnikhanov expressed confidence that Portugal and Tatarstan have big opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation, including the promotion of industrial produce of Tatarstan in Portugal.

Rustam Minnikhanov and Eduardo Ferro Rodrigues also discussed holding of the session of Russia-Portugal intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation in Kazan in September 2017 (this arrangement was reached during the working visit of Rustam Minnikhanov to Lisbon on May 29-31, 2017).
