Mintimer Shaimiev holds meeting on reconstruction of the Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God

On June 13, in the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan State Counsellor, Chairman of Board of Trustees of the Revival Regional Foundation Mintimer Shaimiev held a meeting on the reconstruction of the Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.

In particular, the meeting considered proposals to connect the Cathedral of the Icon of the Mother of God and the complex of the Kazan Bogoroditsky Monastery as a whole to the operating gas boiler house and conduct priority conservation works at this cultural heritage site of local (municipal) significance.

Director of Chief Investment and Construction Administration of Tatarstan Marat Aizatullin presented draft decisions on these issues.

Deputy Minister of Culture of the republic Svetlana Persova reported on the historical and cultural expert examination of this historical facility.
