Rustam Minnikhanov visits the reconstructed building of Medical University Clinic - City Hospital No. 5 in Kazan

On June 5, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the building of the department of surgery of the Medical University Clinic – Kazan City Hospital No. 5 after reconstruction. 

On the instructions of Tatarstan President the building of the city hospital No. 5 has been reconstructed and renovated since 2015.

It was taken into account that the building of the medical university is a monument of architecture of national importance. It is one of several monuments of Soviet constructivism preserved in Kazan. During the reconstruction, the exterior of the building remained unchanged. The facade was renovated. Floor structures were replaced, the foundation was reinforced inside the building. Modern construction materials were used for repair works, which were completed in March this year.

Minnikhanov looked around the admission and diagnostic department, x-ray and ultrasound rooms, endoscopic research room, operating unit, resuscitation unit, and the coloproctological department. The hospital is also equipped with 4 operating rooms, six intensive care beds and other medical equipment.
