Tatarstan President takes part in business breakfast of Sberbank during KazanSummit – 2017

On May 19, during KazanSummit – 2017, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a business breakfast of Sberbank dedicated to development of counterpart funding in Russia. Rustam Minnikhanov noted that special attention should be paid to staff training and existing legislation for the promotion of Islamic banking in Russia.

The president noted that some tasks in this sphere are fulfilled within the framework of activity of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia-the Islamic world”.

“I have headed this group by the order of Russian President Vladimir Putin since 2014. We have held productive meetings in Moscow, Kazan, and in Grozny a few days ago,” Minnikhanov said.

Tatarstan President expressed his hope for the development of Islamic banking in Russia.
