Rustam Minnikhanov meets Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in Grozny

On May 16, during the 3d session of the Strategic Vision Group – Russia-the Islamic world” in Grozny, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought Ayatollah Mohsen Araki and his Deputy Manouchehr Mottaki.

Ayatollah Mohsen Araki is a famous Islamic theologist, doctor of comparative philosophy, professor of Islamic law and principles of Islam at Qom seminary, a member of the Higher Council of the World Ehli Beyt Assembly, English Islamic Center and Assembly of Islamic thought in Qom.

Guests from Iran told Rustam Minnikhanov about their organization and their vision of measures that can prevent conflicts between different Muslim movements.  

Rustam Minnikhanov told about the history of Islam in the Volga region and its development in modern society. He called the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought for cooperation with the Muslim Spiritual Administration of the Republic of Tatarstan and Russian Islamic Institute in Kazan. He also presented the construction of Bolgar Islamic Academy that is supported by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
