Rustam Minnikhanov congratulates winners of the State prize of the Republic of Tatarstan named after Gabdulla Tukai

On April 26, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Chairman of State Council Farid Mukhametshin, and other officials attended the official awarding ceremony of the State prize of the Republic of Tatarstan named after Gabdulla Tukai at M. Dzhalil Tatar academic opera and ballet theatre. Three writers became prize winners.

Welcoming participants of the ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov said that the event was traditionally held on the Day of native language and thanked all guests, who came, expressing his hope that such meetings would always be important.

The president also noted that the systemic work on the preservation of the native language, culture and traditions is carried out in the republic. A lot of events and contests are dedicated to this topic.
