On April 26, at the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a regional video-conference on results of the implementation of consolidated budget of the republic in the first quarter of 2017 and tasks for 2017.

Minnikhanov said that main indicators in the first quarter of this year are quite satisfactory. According to preliminary forecasts, the growth of the gross regional product makes 104.2 per cent, the industrial production index is 104.7 per cent. Moreover, the retail turnover has stabilized.

"The results of the first quarter are positive. However, we should not relax, because we have questions about profits to some enterprises, many companies have already lowered their payments, and there are concerns about the second quarter. I believe that we should work actively to form the revenue, and competent work is needed on our expenditure commitments. First of all, we must match strict financial discipline, completely fulfill our priority social obligations. The implementation of the "May decrees"of the President of the Russian Federation should be under special control," he said.

Tatarstan President stressed that serious work to reduce tax arrears in the consolidated budget, which is currently about 8.8 billion roubles, is required. "Tax inspectors, the Ministry of Finance, and bailiffs should work on this matter," Minnikhanov said.

Head of the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation in Tatarstan Marat Safiullin made a report on the implementation of the consolidated budget of the republic in the first quarter of 2017.

Prime Minister of Tatarstan Aleksey Pesoshin, members of ministries and departments, law enforcement and judicial officials, heads of municipalities took part in the conference.
