Rustam Minnikhanov hands over keys to ambulance cars to Tatarstan healthcare facilities

On April 21, at the site in front of the Kazan City Hall, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov handed over 50 keys to ambulance cars to representatives of healthcare facilities of the republic.

Speaking at the solemn ceremony, Minnikhanov said that handing over keys is a pleasant event for everyone. "These ambulances will make it possible to timely provide qualified medical assistance to residents of the republic," Minnikhanov said. “In 2012-2013, we already had a large-scale programme aimed at updating the fleet of ambulances in the republic. Today, we hand over 50 new cars, and in two-three-month period we will prepare another 47 cars for our capital," he continued.

Addressing representatives of healthcare facilities, heads of municipal regions, Tatarstan President stated that today great responsibility rests on everyone, saying that no complaints about medical services should be received from people.

"We need to get to a place in the shortest possible time and provide qualified medical care, because people's health is the main criterion for assessing the work of the authorities, from the federal government to the municipal level. The quality of life of citizens, their health, is our main priority,” Minnikhanov said.

Tatarstan President also assured that the health care system of the republic will be further supported.

Minister of Health of the republic Adel Vafin took part in the event.
