Deputy Chairman of Russian Government Aleksandr Khloponin meets students of Kazan Federal University

On April 7, during his trip to the Republic of Tatarstan, Deputy Chairman of Russian Government Aleksandr Khloponin visited Kazan Federal University and held a meeting with students of the departments of ecology, ecological safety and nature resource usage.

Rector of the university Ilshat Gafurov reminded that Aleksandr Khloponin supervises the issues of ecology, ecological safety and nature resource usage at the Russian Government.

Khloponin reminded students that 2017 was announced the year of ecology in the republic. He also said that the concern of Kazan citizens about the construction of waste burning plant near Kazan is caused by poor awareness of people.

According to Khloponin, the plant will be built using advanced international technologies, meet high global standards and will not do any harm to people’s health.
