Kazan to host International Friendly Basketball Tournament between men's teams in August

On March 29, during their meeting at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and representatives of the Russian Basketball Federation discussed holding of the International Friendly Basketball Tournament between men's teams in Kazan.

It is expected that before the EuroBasket 2017 the Russian men's team will play in Saint Petersburg (with participation of teams from Finland and Israel and in Kazan (with participation of teams from Germany, Hungary and Iceland). Tournaments will be held in August this year.

​President of the Russian Basketball Federation Andrey Kirilenko, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports of the republic Vladimir Leonov, Aide to Tatarstan President Leila Fazleeva and President of UNIKS Basketball Club (Kazan) Evgeny Bogachev took part in the meeting.
