Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in the opening of the 16th All-Russian individual and team table tennis tournament in Saby region

On March 17, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov paid a working visit to Saby region of the republic to take part in the opening of the 16th All-Russian individual and team table tennis tournament in memory of Nurgali Minnikhanov.

The tournament will be played from March 17-20. This year athletes from 20 regions of Russia are taking part in it.

Delivering his welcoming speech at the event, Minnikhanov reminded that it is the 16th time that the competitions have been held.

"The tournament has become a national event. Its participants can get the title of master of sports and become a member of the Russian national team. I believe that our colleagues from Saby region will create all necessary conditions for holding these competitions,'' Minnikhanov told athletes. "I wish you a good game and victories. We sincerely welcome you to Tatarstan, to Saby region, and we hope that you will come back here again and again," he added.
