On March 10, Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov took part in a meeting of the Department of the Federal bailiff service of the republic on results of work in 2016 and tasks for 2017.
“Minimizing negative trends that are still present in the economy of the republic will be the main task this year. The sufficient fullness of budgets of all levels, the implementation of principles of the rule of law, judicial decisions, the understanding by both plaintiffs and defendants that judicial decisions are irreversible directly depend on the effectiveness of your work," Khalikov said speaking at the meeting.
"I want to note the progress you have made. The number of completed and terminated execution proceedings increased by 6.3 per cent. A lot of work was done to collect fines in the field of road safety. The possibility of withdrawing money from debtors' accounts opened in Sberbank electronically, including SMS-notification at the regional level, was fulfilled. It is necessary to launch the system of automatic withdrawal of traffic fines. There is no other option both for bailiffs of Tatarstan and Russia. This could significantly lighten the workload to aim all efforts at collecting larger sums from debtors," he continued.
Khalikov also called bailiffs for intensifying their work on the collection of alimony. Last year, only 46 per cent of all execution proceedings on child support payments were completed successfully, he noted.
He added that issues related to timely payment for labor, collection of debts for housing and utilities services remain urgent.
