Mintimer Shaimiev meets Naina Yeltsina

On February 25, State Counsellor of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev met wife and daughter of the first Russian President Boris Yeltsin - Naina Yeltsina and Tatyana Yumasheva, who arrived in Kazan today to attend competitions of the International Tennis Tournament "Yeltsin Cup 2017".

The tournament is being held from 18 to 26 February at the Kazan Tennis Academy, which is hosting the country's largest youth competitions for the seventh time. Established by the Yeltsin Fund in the year of the 80th anniversary of the birth of Boris Yeltsin, the first tournament was held on February 28, 2011. 

Naina Yeltsina and Tatyana Yumasheva attended final double matches. The guests also visited the Kazan Monastery of the Theotokos and "Kazan Panorama" exhibition complex.

Tomorrow they will attend final singles competitions and will take part in the awarding ceremony.

At the meeting Naina Yeltsina shared her impressions about Kazan and the Yeltsin Cup 2017 tournament.
