Rustam Minnikhanov hands in Letter of gratitude to Rafael Khakimov

On February 15, at the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov handed in a Letter of gratitude to Rafael Khakimov, the Director of Sh.Mardzhani Institute of history of the Academy of sciences, for his considerable contribution to the development of historical and cultural heritage of the peoples of Tatarstan.

Rustam Minnikhanov appreciated the effective work of the institute and noted that its professional academic staff performs a large amount of research work on studying the history of Tatars. The president congratulated Rafael Khakimov on his 70th anniversary that he celebrated on February 12.

Khakimov, in his turn, thanked Tatarstan President for his support of Sh.Mardzhani Institute of history and for providing a new building in Baturin street, Kazan.
