Rustam Minnikhanov meets senior officials of non-profit organization “Monocities Development Fund”

On February 9, at their meeting during the session of Tatarstan Ministry of economy and Ministry of Industry and Trade, President of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov and senior officials of non-profit organization “Monocities Development Fund” discussed issues of cooperation in terms of further development and diversification of monocities. 

Implementation of large-scale urban improvement programmes in monocities aimed at providing both comfortable living environment and opportunities for business development, as well as new jobs is one of new topics.

The Monocities Development Fund is interacting with Russian regions on the development of single-industry municipalities (in terms of the possibility of providing financial support measures).

In Tatarstan, Naberezhney Chelny and Zelenodolsk, monotowns with the most difficult social and economic situation, were included in the programme of development of monocities.

According to Minnikhanov, it is important to keep facilities (parks, recreation zones, squares, etc.) created within the framework of public space improvement in proper condition.
