Business forum “Tatarstan- Saudi Arabia” held at the end of the official visit of Rustam Minnikhanov to Saudi Arabia

On February 8, the business forum “Tatarstan- Saudi Arabia” was held at the end of the official visit of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov to Saudi Arabia (the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Jeddah).

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Saudi Arabia, permanent representative of Russia in OIC Oleg Ozerov opened the forum. He said that Tatarstan is one of the leading regions in Russia and expressed confidence that the Arab businessmen would be interested in its economic potential.

Participants of the forum watched the video “Treasures of Tatarstan” in Arabic. Head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina presented the investment potential of the republic, and the International economic summit “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanSummit 2017".

In his interview to “Al Ekhbariya” news channel, “Asharq Al-Awsat” news website, and English information agency “ArabicNews” Tatarstan President thanked the King of Saudi Arabia for hospitality and focused on the most relevant issues that had been discussed during negotiations.
