Ildar Khalikov: Budget deficit remains one of the main problems of Social Insurance Fund

On January 30, in Kazan, an extended meeting of the Coordination Council of the regional department of the Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation was held.

Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Deputy Chairman of Social Insurance Fund of Russia Alexey Rudenko, Head of the regional office of the Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation Ramil Gaizatullin, representatives of regional ministries and departments took part in the meeting.

Making a report, Gaizatullin said that 144,000 insured, employing 1,4 mln people, have been registered in Tatarstan Department of the Social Insurance Fund. In 2016, total revenues for two types of insurance amounted to 13.2 billion roubles, with growth exceeding 1.4 billion roubles.

Khalikov noted that budget deficit remains one of the main problems of the Fund. "This is an issue not only in our republic, but in a number of other Russian regions as well. In Tatarstan, as compared to 2015 the level of own funds to pay social allowance decreased by 24.7 per cent, while this figure throughout Russia makes only 10 per cent. Therefore, we are lagging behind," he said.
