Ildar Khalikov: Tatarstan Department of Federal Supervision Agency for Customer Protection and Human Welfare managed to maintain stable sanitary and epidemiological situation in the republic

On January 24, in Kazan, an extended meeting of Tatarstan Department of Federal Supervision Agency for Customer Protection and Human Welfare was held.

Head of the regional department Marina Patyashina reported on results of work of Federal Supervision Agency for Customer Protection and Human Welfare in Tatarstan in 2016.

According to Patyashina, the infection rate decreased by 3.1 per cent in the republic. More than 745,000 cases of infectious and parasitic diseases were registered. No cases of diphtheria, poliomyelitis, rubella, typhoid fever, paratyphoid fever, pseudotuberculosis, leptospirosis, highly infectious diseases were registered in 2016.

Patyashina added that providing people with pathogen-free drinking water remains a priority task of the agency. She continued that work on judicial protection of customer rights was intensified.

Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, who took part in the meeting, said that Tatarstan Department of Federal Supervision Agency for Customer Protection and Human Welfare managed to maintain stable sanitary aand epidemiological situation in the republic and expand range of measures to protect consumer rights in 2016.
