Turkish Energy Minister: I am sure the Turkish business will have new opportunities in Tatarstan

New opportunities for investment will appear in Tatarstan for Turkish companies. The Minister of energy and Natural resources of the Republic of Turkey Taner Yildiz expressed such an opinion after a meeting with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov at the Kazan Kremlin.

Taner Yildiz arrived in Kazan to take part in the opening and plenary meeting of the Joint Turkey-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met Taner Yildiz at the Kazan International Airport.

The official meeting of the Tatarstan President and the Turkish Minister was held at the Kazan Kremlin. Opening the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that Taner Yildiz had visited Tatarstan last year when conducting the meeting of the Turkey-Russian Commission in Kazan was discussed. “Thanks to your personal activity and the support of the Turkish leadership and the Government of the Russian Federation it come true. It is very important to conduct the meeting the Inter-Governmental Commission at a high level and show that strengthening of Russia-Turkey relations will largely depend on how active the regions are,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.

The Tatarstan head also said that the relations between Tatarstan and Turkey had been actively developing in all directions. Trade and economic cooperation is enhancing, large-scale projects are being implemented, and new contacts are established in the fields of culture, education and health care.
