On December 6, at a briefing at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, Head of Federal Supervision Agency for Customer Protection and Human Welfare in Tatarstan Marina Patyashina reported that 26 mln and 797 thousand roubles of penalties were imposed for low-quality food products in the republic. The work of 46 retail facilities was suspended, and three licenses were terminated.
Patyashina noted that the discussed issue is one of the priority areas of work at the agency.
By results of supervisory measures, 2,312 batches of products were removed from sale. The total volume of low-quality food products made 68, 565 kg.
Head of the State alcohol inspectorate of the Republic of Tatarstan Igor Marchenko took part in the meeting with journalists dedicated to the quality of food products at regional stores.
