Ildar Khalikov meets Permanent Representative of the International Monetary Fund in the Russian Federation Gabriel Di Bella

On November 8, at his meeting with the Permanent Representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in the Russian Federation Gabriel Di Bella at Tatarstan Government House, Prime Minister of the republic Ildar Khalikov said that it was a great honour to receive the representative of such a credible organization, and that the work of the IMF is very important to Russia and Tatarstan in particular.

Khalikov noted that Tatarstan actively cooperates with the USA, Europe and Asia, and therefore, economic processes happening in the world have a great impact on the republic.

He continued that Tatarstan focuses on economic diversification, developing its petrochemical production, mechanical engineering, agricultural industry and IT, and that Alabuga Special Economic Zone demonstrates the highest results in the country in terms of the total amount of investments and total revenue.  

Gabriel Di Bella, in his turn, thanked Ildar Khalikov for the reception and said that he appreciated the actions of the regional leadership on providing economic stability in the republic.

“With its strong economic foundation and developed industry, Tatarstan is one of the leading Russian regions today. It also provides all necessary conditions for doing business.  Congratulations on this,” Gabriel Di Bella added.
