Rustam Minnikhanov hands in “Duslyk” order to the composer Sofia Gubaidulina

On November 3, at the Governor’s palace of the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated a famous composer, member of All-Russian public organization “Union of composers of Russia” Sofia Gubaidulina on her 85th anniversary and handed in the state award of the Republic of Tatarstan - “Duslyk” order.

The award was granted in accordance with the Order of the Tatarstan President for the considerable contribution to the development of music art and long-term creative work.

“I am proud of my motherland - Tatarstan, and my city - Kazan that is so beautiful. My heart is with you and I am grateful for such a wonderful reception,” Sofia Gubaidulina said. She also shared her impressions from the yesterday’s meeting at the Kazan conservatory.

Rustam Minnikhanov said that the name of the composer is written in golden letters in the history of the music and the history of Tatarstan.
