Rustam Minnikhanov: There is great potential to develop trade and economic relations between Tatartsan and Cambodia

On November 2, during his working visit to Phnom Penh, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met Cambodian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation – Co-Chairman of Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation Prak Sokhonn.

Speaking at the meeting, Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan and Cambodia should move their relations to a deeper level and considerably increase the volume of trade turnover. Tatarstan President said that he is sure that there is great potential to do this.

Minnikhanov pointed out that Tatarstan is one of leading and industrially developed Russian regions. We strive for making our own contribution to the development of relations between Russia and Association of Southeast Asian Nations, he added.

According to him, it was decided to hold the next meeting of Intergovernmental Russian-Cambodian Commission in Kazan.
