Ildar Khalikov opens center of hockey mastership “Victorious throw”

On October 29, Acting Tatarstan President Ildar Khalikov, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sport of the republic Vladimir Leonov, Managing Director of Youth hockey league Alexey Morozov took part in the solemn opening of new sports training center “Victorious throw” at “Kazan-Arena” stadium.

The sports center specializes in training hockey players in improving throws and dribbling. The programme includes different classes held by professional hockey players.

Welcoming participants of the event, Ildar Khalikov said that hockey is the most popular sport in Tatarstan, and more than 50,000 people are keen on this sport.  Moreover, there are 40 ice palaces and 700 winter outdoor rinks in the republic.

Khalikov added that “Victorious throw” is a private project and thanked Head of the center Danis Zaripov for his major contribution to the development of Tatarstan and Russian hockey, and support of youth sport in the republic.
