Mintimer Shaimiev meets Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu

On October 28, in the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan State Counsellor, Chairman of Trustees Board of the Revival Regional Foundation Mintimer Shaimiev met former Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu.

Shaimiev thanked his guest for long-term successful cooperation and presented him the project of the Bolgar Islamic Academy, being built under the auspices of the Revival Foundation.

They discussed cooperation in the sphere of science and culture, in particular, concerning the activity of the Islamic Academy in Bolgar. Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu stressed the importance of creating the new Islamic Academy to develop Islamic education in Russia and worldwide.
