Tram modernization enterprise to be created in Naberezhnye Chelny

On October 25, at a briefing at Tatarstan Government House, Minister of Industry and Trade of the republic Albert Karimov told about the tram modernization enterprise that is to be created in Naberezhnye Chelny (Tatarstan).

He informed that the extent wear of two thousand trams is very high in Naberezhnye Chelny and neighboring towns. Modernization of trams will cost twice as cheap.

The cabs will be produced by Tatarstan metallurgic and engineering companies. Belorussian technologies will be used to modernize carriages.

The project of modernization of trams was discussed during the visit of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov to Belarus.
