Rustam Minnikhanov meets Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov

On October 18, during his two-day working visit to Minsk, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov.

Speaking at the meeting, Kobyakov said that Tatarstan is one of the reliable partners of Belarus among Russian regions.

He continued that the trade turnover between Belarus and Tatarstan has started to grow thanks to measures taken.

Kobaykov also noted the development of cooperation in the sphere of machine tool building. He said that the Amkodor (manufacturer of heavy equipment) is actively cooperating with Tatarstan enterprises, Mogilevliftmash (manufacturer of elevators) is considering opening its production facility in Russia.

"I think that Tatarstan has corresponding proposals in this regard. We are ready to come and work in this direction using our potential," Kobyakov said.

In his turn, Minnikhanov noted that cooperation between Belarus and Tatarstan in the field of machine tools is of current interest.
