Tatarstan and Sberbank sign an agreement on cooperation in the sphere of innovations

On October 13,at the forum of innovative financial technologies Finopolis, Board Chairman of Sberbank German Gref and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov signed an agreement on cooperation between the republic and Sberbank in the sphere of innovations.

According to TASS, Sberbank will open a subsidiary IT company of Sberbank of Russia “Sberbank Technology” (SberTech) in Innopolis. By the end of 2017, its office will employ about 600 IT specialists in the city.

Later the same day a "road map" for promoting the national payment card "Mir" in Tatarstan was approved. The document was signed by Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov and Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation Olga Skorobogatova.
