On September 20, Aide to the Russian President Andrey Fursenko, Deputy Minister of Education and Science Aleksei Lopatin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and rector of Kazan Federal University Ilshat Gafurov took part in the opening ceremony of the 2nd international conference “Science of the future” and 2nd All-Russia scientific forum “Science of the future – science of the youth” at Kazan Federal University.
In his welcoming speech Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov thanked organizers for choosing Kazan for holding such important events for national science. He emphasized that Tatarstan is one of the leading dynamically developing regions in the country, with developed petrochemical, mechanical engineering, and innovative clusters.
Aleksei Lopatin welcomed 1300 participants from 42 countries, and noted that the conference is a good chance to communicate with colleagues from different countries.
The first conference “Science of the future” was held in St. Petersburg in 2014, and it was decided to hold the conference in Kazan this year. A lot of outstanding scientists from Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Greece and USA will visit the capital of Tatarstan these days and tell about new areas of development of the modern science, results of their studies and experiments in the sphere of medicine, industry, humanities, space exploration, atomic power engineering, that can make our life better.
