On September 16, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a solemn opening of the reconstructed park “Krilya Sovetov” in Kazan.
The park was reconstructed under the regional programme “Parks and Squares”, with the Kazan Helicopter Plant being a key investor of the project.
The park infrastructure with functional areas is comfortable for recreation of citizens. The park features a playground with model aviation equipment, a sports ground with work-out equipment, a quiet recreation zone, a path for cycling and skating in summer and skiing in winter.
A total of 202 million roubles, including 63 million roubles from the city budget and 85 million roubles by the Kazan Helicopter Plant were invested in the park reconstruction.
Minnikhanov was shown renovated walkways, playgrounds for kids, as well as an area where a playground for children will be built next spring.
Minnikhanov handed over commemorative awards to Director of Gorbunov Kazan Aviation Plant, Chief of Staff of Kazan Helicopter Plant Yuliya Katasheva, Chief Architecture of Giproniiaviaprom David Dubossarsky, Deputy Head of local administration of Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky city districts Yuri Titov for their active participation in the improvement of the Krilya Sovetov park.
