Tatarstan launches information project “Education against tumors”

On September 6, speaking at a briefing at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, First Deputy Minister of Health of the republic Sergey Osipov said that Tatarstan Minister of Health has launched an information project “Education against tumors”.  

"The project is aimed at increasing awareness of citizens on oncology and fostering a responsible attitude to themselves in matters of cancer care," Osipov said.

According to him, social advertising on TV, outdoor billboards and banners to share cancer prevention and early detection information will appear. An online application which gives simple explanations how to prevent cancer progression is running.

Moreover, information events and free medical consultations by oncologists and breast physicians will be arranged in large shopping centres.
