On September 6, at a briefing at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers Head of the Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of the Protection of Consumer Rights and Human Welfare in the republic Marina Patyashina informed about moderate increase of acute respiratory infection rate. She noted that 7435 cases of acute respiratory infection were registered in Tatarstan last week.
Patyashina addressed citizens with request to do flu vaccination because complications of acute respiratory infections are dangerous. She also reminded about other preventive measures such as healthy lifestyle, healthy eating, and personal hygiene.
Marina Patyashina recommended wiping gadgets, glasses and remote controls with cleansing tissues, because the incubation period of flu virus is 2-8 days.
First Deputy Minister of Health Sergey Osipov warned against the use of homeopathic medicine advertised by western pharmaceutical companies and folk medicine.
Osipov summarized that all medical institutions in the republic are ready for the decrease of acute respiratory infection rate and have got all necessary anti-viral medication.
