Mintimer Shaimiev congratulates veteran of archaeology Natalia Aksenova on Archaeology Day

On August 15, State Counsellor of Tatarstan, Chairman of the Board of trustees of the Regional Foundation “Revival” Mintimer Shaimiev congratulated a veteran of archaeology Natalia Aksenova on Archaeology Day.

CEO of the Regional Foundation “Revival” Tatiana Larionova handed over a letter commendation, a bouquet and a gift from Mintimer Shaimiev to the veteran.

Larionova emphasized that Archaeology Day is not a national holiday, but is widely celebrated because of significant work carried out by archaeologists in the investigation of historical sites in the republic.

Natalia Aksenova thanked the first president of Tatarstan for kind attention and shared her impressions about excavations in Bolgar in post-war years, her scientific discoveries and collegues, who were committees to archaeology.
